REINSURANCE AND INTERNATIONAL RELATIONSHIP

Munich Re and Swiss Re, the two largest reinsurers in the world, have long been our strong supporters.

We took the initiative in 1993 to propose to Swiss Re to set up a special training program on risk management in Manila. Since then, some of our staff have successfully completed the training in Swiss Re.

We were the only participant from the whole Asia Pacific region that was awarded with the Horst K. Jannot scholarship from Munich Re in 1997; it was a 3-month training in Munich, Germany, and Atlanta , USA . Munich Re only offered 8 seats of the scholarship world-wide in 1997.

The opening of SITC (Swiss Insurance Training Center) Hong Kong in May 2006 for Asia Pacific region was the realization of our idea for Swiss Re to contribute directly to the improvement of insurance human resources.
